The module takes the students on from where they were at the end of the Field Methods Module in Academic Course 1. They come with their own data, collected over the preceding 9 months. They are shown how to proceed in their analysis and how to write up their discoveries in a more formal way, producing a sketch of both phonology and grammar. The final three weeks of the module will cover the basics of lexicographic work.
