Alison Compton has worked in Tanzania for five years. She has a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics with an emphasis in translation and additional coursework in literacy. She has worked as a linguist and been involved in orthography development. She is currently working as a literacy specialist for a cluster of related Bantu languages near Lake Victoria. She loves chocolate, coffee, and East African sunsets. |

Born and bred in the UK, but living in Kenya since 1999. I am a mother of 3 and wife to Dr. Steve Nicolle. I have a BA in linguistics and am a qualified language teacher. We served with the Digo language project in Kenya from 1999 until the completion of the New Testament in 2007, during which time I worked extensively on the production of literacy materials as well as with the Digo dictionary. Since 2008 I have served as an academic editor with SIL Africa Area. |

Andy Alo is married to Yvette Oziro Adiro. They have a daughter, two sons, and two additional adopted sons. They are from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Presently, Andy has completed his PhD in Translation Studies at Africa International University (AIU). He is teaching, as a part-time lecturer, in the same university, and is being trained as a Translation Consultant under Sil Africa Area. He holds a BA in Education, majoring in French and Latin from Bunia Teacher Training College (in DRC). He has a second degree (MA or Licence) majoring in French obtained in Bukavu Teacher Training College (DRC). After these two degrees, he obtained his MA in Translation at NEGST/AIU (Nairobi). Andy has successfully defended his dissertation and is now Dr. Andy Alo!. |

| Clene Nyiramahoro |
Clene Nyiramahoro was born and grew up in a remote village in Rwanda.. In 1986 she joined the National University of Rwanda, the first woman from her province to have ever gone to university. In 1992, she graduated from the University with a Bachelor degree in Geography. From 1992 to 1994 she was a secondary school teacher. In 1993 she married Rev. Deogratias Rubera. In 1994 they left Rwanda as a result of the war and settled in Kenya since 1995. In 1996 she went to Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology (NEGST) now AIU where she graduated with a Masters degree in Bible Translation and Literacy in 2000. Since then she has been working as a freelance translator, a Lecturer, a workshop facilitator on peace and conflicts, and currently she works on part-time basis with SIL/I-DELTA as a translator and a trainer. She has six children aged between 17 and 4. She is admitted in the PhD program at AIU and hopes to enroll in September 2011. She is the author of a book Beyond the Tears: A story of God’s faithfulness which was published last year by Integrity Publishers. |

| Dr. William (Bill) Gardner |
William (Bill) Gardner is an American who with his wife Lori worked with SIL in Congo-Brazzaville and Mozambique, and since 2001 in Nairobi, Kenya. In 2010 he completed his doctoral studies in Intercultural Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary. Previously he taught in the Translation Degree Program at Pan Africa Christian University. His two sons both grew up in Africa and they now live and work in California. He is the Director for the Anglophone i-DELTA courses. |

| Elizabeth Olsen |
Elizabeth Olsen holds a Master's degree from the University of London. She completed a language project among the Dogon in Mali. After that she taught at Pan Africa Christian University in the Translation Degree Programme. For her last few years there, she was also the Head of the Translation Department. Elizabeth is the Academic Advisor for i-DELTA and will be available to discuss educational plans with students and sponsors. |

Elly Gudo, his wife Caroline and their children, Lydia and Jack-Samuel are Kenyan citizens living in Nairobi. He holds a B. Education degree, majoring in Literature and Linguistics from Moi University (1994) and MA in Translation Studies at NEGST/AIU (Nairobi) in 2007. Elly and Caroline are missionaries of Wycliffe Bible Translators-Africa and members of SIL International. Currently he is a Translation Consultant in Training seconded to Bible Translation and Literacy and working with a number of projects in Kenya, and also with Uganda Luke Partnership Programme. He has great interest in translation, linguistics and Greek exegesis. |

Godfrey Kipsisey is expecting to complete his MA degree in Anthropology from the University of Nairobi any time now. He is a consultant-in-training in the field of Anthropology. His BA degree was obtained from the University of Nairobi. He speaks English, KiSwahili and Kalenjin. His studies have focused on the various aspects of Sabaot culture.
Godfrey taught on the General Training and Assessment Course and expects to teach on the Academic Course in the area of Anthropology. |
