Alison Compton has worked in Tanzania for five years. She has a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics with an emphasis in translation and additional coursework in literacy. She has worked as a linguist and been involved in orthography development. She is currently working as a literacy specialist for a cluster of related Bantu languages near Lake Victoria. She loves chocolate, coffee, and East African sunsets.
