Academic Course 1 will offer six domains in 2011. This course will be held in Nairobi, Kenya. All subjects will be taught in English.

[1] In this module, Linguistics students follow the first 5 weeks of Sociolinguistics (sociolinguistic research and methodology, language variation, bilingual and multilingual individuals, bilingual and multilingual societies), but for the final 3 weeks will study field methods (data collection, ethical issues, computer programs).
[2] In this module, Assessment students follow the first 6 weeks of Phonetics (essential sounds and modifications), but for the final 2 weeks study the basics of phonology.
